Nobel Guide Procedure

The NobelGuide concept from Nobel Biocare allows the doctor to carry out safe, predictable, and minimally-invasive implant placement using a Surgical Template to guide him. This procedure is the most advanced technology available for the placement of implants. A Cat Scan is taken in our office. From there we use the Cat Scan and Nobel Biocare software to make a customized Surgical Template that will guide the doctor to reach the result planned. This Surgical Template guides the flapless procedure from the start to a completely successful placement.

Benefits to the Nobel Guide Procedure:

  • Nobel Guide Procedure allows the doctor to transform pre-planned treatment (model-based or computer-based) into a clinical reality.
  • The Nobel Guide shows the exact position and depth of the implants before surgery.
  • The Guide enhances predictability and safety by having a predictable surgical template that reduces the risk of wobbling and drilling too deep. It also allows implants to be placed without incisions or sutures.
  • Based on flapless surgery, reducing pain and swelling.
  • This system allows for pre-production of temporary or final prosthetics as well.

    1. Examine Patient

Make impressions. Prepare the patient for the CT scan.

    2. CT scan of patient

The CT-Scan is performed according to NobelGuide’s double scan procedure:

    3. Plan operation

Using the converted CT-data, the doctor will plan the patient in the Software 3D Planning application.

    4. Manufacture Prosthetic Solution

Our in house laboratory will make a stone model based on the Surgical Template. The prosthetic solution of choice can be made on this stone model using traditional techniques.

    5. Surgical procedure and prosthesis delivery.

Perform surgery based on planning using the surgical template combined with the guided surgery kit.
